The thyroid gland is a small, hormone-active organ.
Despite its small size, diseases of the thyroid gland often lead to a variety of symptoms. They affect the activity of the metabolism, the cardiovascular system, and the gastrointestinal tract, but can also affect the nerves and psyche, causing discomfort.
Both functional disorders (hypothyroidism = underactivity, hyperthyroidism = overactivity) and tumor-like diseases are very common. However, early diagnosis and timely therapy open up a good prognosis for thyroid diseases (e.g. goiter, thyroiditis, Hashimoto’s disease, Graves’ disease, thyroid cancer).
In the case of abnormal findings, we ensure a clear and reliable diagnosis within the shortest possible time with the help of the latest technology and established cutting-edge medicine. We accompany you from suspicion to diagnosis and, if necessary, through therapy to aftercare.

Thyroid nodules are when individual areas develop within the thyroid gland where the cells of the organ proliferate and/or enlarge. Some nodules grow to a certain point and not beyond, others become progressively larger. Nodular changes in this hormone-producing gland are found in almost every third adult. Most of the time they are harmless and are not even noticed by the affected person. However, since in rare cases cancer can be the cause, thyroid nodules should always be examined.
Yes, you can undergo both pre- and post-thyroid surgery exams at the Radiology Center.
We offer the following examination options for hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism:
